Roberto De Zerbi

Taking over in place of the highly successful graham potter in September 2022, many football fans, analysts didn't anticipate the next step Roberto de Zerbi would take Brighton.

 

De Zerbi instilled his philosophy which all involves playing possession football , patient build up play and fluid movement in attacking areas. De Zerbi had these same strategies in his time managing Sassuolo in Italy.

 

The way Brighton have developed in his first 18 months in charge has been eye catching and many neutral fans adopt Brighton as their second team.

Xavi Alonso

Having only retired in 2017, Xavi Alonso has managed to learn from the plethora of footballs legendary coaches, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelloti and Jose Mourinho at the forefront of that list.

 

Xavi Alonso was a legendary footballer himself, however if you looked how he played during his career he was controlled, had an excellent understanding of the game and was leading his younger, inexperienced teammates later in his career, all these qualities indicated to may that he would one day become an exemplary coach.

Xavi Alonso now looks set to win the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen breaking Bayern's streak of over a decade, they have done this playing expansive innovative football and with a relatively young squad. 

 

Xavi Alonso definitely is one of the most promising new coaches out there.

Thiago Motta

Similar to Xavi Alonso, Thiago Motta was a top professional who retired not too long ago,  he has garnered huge respect for his success at bologna, his innovative approach to the game is unique and he has improved young players heavily during his time managing in Seria A. 

 

He plays an attacking brand of football, adopting tactics such as strikers dropping deep, a fluid third man in every point of build up, positional flexibility and aggressive press after possession loss.

Thiago Motta is more than likely to be in position to manage at the highest level similar to his playing days.

Ruben Amorim

Only retiring in 2017, Ruben Amorim has been instrumental in developing Sporting Lisbon, his attractive brand of football and willingness to give youth a chance has made him one of the most sort after coaches in world football.

 

Amorim has a style of play which focuses on key principles such as attacking half spaces, low build up and numerical advantages in key areas of the pitch and when in transition. 

Amorim's style is refreshing and shows that he is not afraid to compromise his principles due to mitigating factors during the season i.e. injuries/suspensions and key players departing. 

 

There is no doubt he will be at the top for some time.
